This will die out after the mountains and the sun will have set long b4 gets to NJ and NYC area. That line is way more than 3 hours away it's still in western pa. I don't see much for NJ or southern and NYC atea. We will see.

Re: May 2020 Observations & Discussions
Hit a high of 84.9*, what a gorgeous day, even got a little sunburn as I took a vacation day and just chilled in the backyard. It doesn't look like NENJ will see too much action besides rain and wind, nothing severe, we'll see...

Meh. Run of the mill T’Storm here. Nothing severe, nothing special. Barring something bigger overnight, nothing to write home about. Once again New England wins.

Re: May 2020 Observations & Discussions
It was raining heavily from 8:30 to 10 pm with some thunder in between. For sure a soaker. It would have been bad to be out in it. Wind gusts of 35 mph. Nothing crazy insane but definitely blowing hard, trees swaying, very heavy rain in bursts with a dash of thunder. A welcomed distraction

Re: May 2020 Observations & Discussions
So much for the rainy week. If the current models hold we may not see a drop of rain until Wednesday night or Thursday. Looks like Arthur clips the Outer Banks and heads OTS as these things tend to do.

It looks like the sub tropical system will remain off the coast.

I guess Arthur may hangout down the shore (just off the coast)? I thought it was supposed to make a right and head away from us?

Hey Phil. The weather for the holiday weekend wouldnt be from Arthur. You are correct in that he will make a Right and head harmlessly OTS. Soon. The weekend weather will be a series of mid level shortwaves triggering precip because the air will likely be fairly humid. I dont think it will be a washout. As of now late Sat into early Sunday looks the worst but timing is everything.
Cheers!

Re: May 2020 Observations & Discussions
figures though that a long holiday weekend will have unsettled weather. Not that I have anywhere to go but it would have been nice to be in my backyard with the sun out or at least a dry weekend
