My enclosed back porch just separated from my house. I now have a 1 inch gap to the outside and snow is coming in. I sure hope my insurance covers it. Trying to patch it up, but I'm scared the whole structure my let loose....

They plowed one of the lots at my apartment complex to blacktop in spots. Within 20 minutes or so, you can't even tell they were there. Insane.

Also - I have optimum/cablevision and we have been out on and off (mostly off) for an hour. No tv or Internet. Yay for cellular data!

Looking at the tele connections for this storm both the nao and ao spiked from negative to neutral ao very negative. and the PNA also had a spike. Also the MJO is currently in the circle of death. Which is probably better 4 Northeast snowstorm during a strong El Nino. I have read that phases 8 and 1 are actually unfavorable for us during strong El Ninos

What apartment complex do you live in. I used to live in Parsippany 30 years ago.

Almost certain I have a foot of snow here, again hard to tell but the snow is up to my knees on the sidewalk and I'm average height.

Still snowing like crazy. I don't really remember 96 much but my father is comparing it to this. Smile

End time looks to be 9pm-12 am from west to east. So eastern PA and western NJ between 9-10pm. Central NJ and eastern NJ around 10-11pm. NYC and long island 11pm-12am

Based on snow rates and visibility since my last measurement I'd bet I'm up to about 18-19" right now. Right now I'm back in near whiteout conditions with whipping winds and heavy snow.
