Those in this snow band are getting blitzed

It seems like that band is hardly moving. Been sitting under that for a while, like it just gets stronger. Right by the pink.

January 23, 2016 Roidzilla Observations - Page 36 A powerful Godzilla storm is going to track up the coast late tonight through tomorrow. The enhanced Sub-Tropical Jet Stream from El Nino, warm sea surface temperatures in the Gulf of Mexico, and warm sea surface temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean will fuel this storm to bring insane snow amounts to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. At this time I am thinking the NYC Metro area will receive between 12-18 inches of snow

Pretty sure I am in that band. It is crazy out there. Was thinking about going out with the snow blower but doesn't seem worth it.

The radar from weatherbell.com.  To those members in the pink spot in NE NJ, has there been mixing with sleet like this radar shows?

Still heavy snow here. Guessing around 14-15 inches. Someone abandoned their car in the middle of the street.

When I say pivot meaning the heavy band to the most and west will make their way through our area I think we will see more heavy stuff

The official measurement for my town at 1 p.m. was 17.4" (consistent with my unofficial measurement of 16" at Noon). Given the rates we've had for the past 3 hours I can say we easily have to be about 24-26" now and with this band coming through, I think another 6" or so is not out of the question.

I was just about to go out and do a second round of digging my car out, but now that I'm in this heavy band, I'm thinking better of it. This is as bad as its been all day. Which is amazing to say given what I've seen today.
