Hey I am going to post this..we live on the water..right before Sandy..someone said( I think it was our insurance agent) to take pictures and video of your whole house inside and out to have with you incase something happens. It was not the first thing on our minds..and thank goodness we did not need it..but just putting it out there...

He may attain CAT 4 status by the 2PM update at this rate, tehre are mesovortices in his inner core and lightening is ramping up there as well = rapid strengthening

Is there any new information on the storm?

I’d say we are looking at the beginnings of a a true EWRC( Eye Wall Replacement Cycle).  This typically weakens a system short term but ultimately when complete will strengthen it and expands the hurricane force wind field.

I be been getting the house hurricane ready the last two days. Looking at the current track. It puts Ian’s eye over my town on Thursday.

As many others have discussed, certainly seems like #Ian is in the middle of an eyewall replacement cycle (#ERC).
