Jim this is the tenth time you've been moving on in the last 48 hours. Face facts until that radar stops at the TZ bridge for six consecutive hours which it's probably going to do and frustrate the hell out of us with light to occassional bursts of moderate snow you are not moving on.

I've never said it was likely but it's not a 1 in 100 either. 20% shot in orange we get a foot. 40% chance we get six. You're odds by you decease of course. That 20 miles is big this storm.

I just put out this newsletter. If your account is setup to receive newsletters you should get it in your email shortly.
Hi everyone,
A powerful Godzilla storm is going to track up the coast late tonight through tomorrow. The enhanced Sub-Tropical Jet Stream from El Nino, warm sea surface temperatures in the Gulf of Mexico, and warm sea surface temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean will fuel this storm to bring insane snow amounts to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
At this time I am thinking the NYC Metro area will receive between 12-18 inches of snow. Central and southern NJ are in line to see a 15-24" snowfall. Since this will be a long duration storm, if banding sets up over a particular area there could be isolated snow amounts near 20." A final call snow map will be posted on the website around 6pm today.
Start time will be between Midnight and 1am. The further south you are the earlier the start time. Do not be surprised to see snow showers break out as early as 10pm. End time will be between 10pm and Midnight on Saturday night. The brunt of the storm - when 2" per hour snow rates and blizzard-like conditions are possible, will come between 1pm-6pm Saturday.
Winds will be sustained in the 25-35mph range with gusts as high as 50mph possible. The Shore points could see gusts approach 70mph. Please be prepared for a potential power outage.
Thank you for following NJ Strong Wx Forum. Have fun and stay safe!!
Best,
